Latin Americans still speak of the “China Boom” created by Beijing’s presence in the region from 2003 to 2013. Yet how is China’s assertive push for a continuing place in the region greeted today? Despite a lack of close geographic and cultural ties with China, do Latin American nations welcome this opportunity to diversify their economic partnerships?
